Mysticism breezed to a 1:51.1 clocking in the first of two $20,000 Woodrow Wilson eliminations for 2-year-old colt pacers on Friday night at the Meadowlands, and Vertigo Hanover took the second elim, also clocking in at 1:51.1 at the wire. The $350,000 final will be contested next Friday night, Hambletonian eve.

With Ron Pierce in the sulky, Mysticism made a backside brush to the lead and drew off to a 3-length victory over Get Jazzed. The son of Dragon Again-Imawesternlady is perfect in two starts for trainer Steve Elliott. He paid $3.00 to win the night’s second race.

Emerald Express, Come Together and Hurrikane Jon Paul also advanced to the Wilson final.

Vertigo Hanover pounced off fractions set by dueling leaders Hypnotic Blue Chip and Mobile to win the second Wilson elim. Jody Jamieson steered the son of The Panderosa-Varbo to his second win in three starts. The colt is trained by Duane Marfisi and owned by Uncirculated Stables, who teamed to win the 2007 Wilson with Dali.

Major In Art finished three-quarters of a length behind in second.  Hypnotic Blue Chip held third, while Gordieisanartist and Get It Now also moved on to the Wilson final. (Meadowlands)
