Longshot Cosmic Illusion N won the featured $14,000 pace and GE's Alex won the co-featured $10,500 pace for fillies and mares on Wednesday at Dover Downs.

Cosmic Illusion N, overlooked at 12-1, is owned and trained by Katja Schreyvogel. The altered son of Fake Left-Cosmic Queen, acquired in early January, put in a strong effort, racing on the outside for much of the race. He still won a stretch duel with runner-up Dina's Gamble (Brandon Givens) to light up the payoff board after the 1:53 victory with Jon Roberts the winning driver. The Phantoms Guest (Ross Wolfenden) was third.

GE's Alex and George Dennis won with a 1:56.1 performance. The Misfit GE's Kristen 5 year old held off B A Lady (Bryan Truit) with SP Ruby (Roberts) third.

The driver Tim Curtin-trainer Sam Beegle combination struck twice. In the last race of the day, Whythehellnot N (Christian Cullen-Whythelongface N), owned by Neil Chesen, Wayne Hurtubise and Wahoo Stable, won an $8,500 pace easily in 1:52.4. The same duo starting off the parlay in a similar $8,500 contest when Carol Vanderhyde and Wahoo Stable's Kamwood Jasper N (Village Jasper-Kenwood Byrd) notched a 1:55.4 victory. (Dover Downs)
