Three Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) $20,000 divisions for 3-year-old pacing colts were contested Wednesday at Harrington Raceway.

Stephanie and Brian D Cassell’s McMurray Hanover (Eddie Dennis, $19.80) was the fastest elimination winner after a 1:53.2 triumph for trainer/driver Dennis. Superbad Hanover was second while Twincreeks Indy was third.

Kenneth Conover and Alvin Stafford’s Giterdun Badlands (George Dennis, $28.60) won the second division for trainer Conover over Golden Gladiator and Brisk Clipper.

Another upset occurred in the third division when Art Stafford and Andrew Stafford’s Smoke Em Up ($17.20, Art Stafford Jr.) picked off rivals late with a 1:55.1 triumph over Amazing Quest and Enee Weenie and Me.

The $100,000 Final will take place on July 29, which is Governor’s Day during the Delaware State Fair.

In the overnight feature, Amy and Steward Oldford’s Nordic Venture ($5.20, Vince Copeland) was a 1:57.2 winner in the $17,500 Junior Open Trot. Copeland also trains the 5-year-old Keystone Nordic gelding.

There will be no live racing Thursday June 24 or Sunday June 27 at Harrington. Live racing will resume Monday June 28. (Harrington Raceway)
