USHWA issues ballot caveat

Because of a printing error on stat sheets mailed with the year-end divisional balloting to members of the United States Harness Writers Assocation (USHWA) that could cause confusion, USHWA has issued the following release:

It has been brought to our attention that in the statistical material sent out accompanying the Horse of the Year ballots, incorrect information about the summary line of older trotting mare Peaceful Way was printed: her correct line should read 11-5-1-1, $709,763, mark of 1:52.1. The statistics listed originally with Peaceful Way were 18-10-3-1, $1,130,180, 1:51.2, which were the statistics for the older trotting male horse Sand Vic.

If in light of this information you may want to reconsider your original vote in this category, you should make your change known to Paul Ramlow of the USTA (pramlow@ustrotting.com or (614) 224 2291) before 4 p.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 21. Anyone who is happy with the way they originally marked their ballot need do nothing else. (USHWA)
