Justasplashofwhite lived up to her 1-2 odds and stretched her unbeaten streak to nine with a 2½ length victory in the $43,300 Virginia Breeders final for 2-year-old filly pacers Saturday afternoon at Colonial Downs.

Driver Victor Kirby sent Justasplashofwhite right to the lead and the Shotgun Scott filly was never seriously threatened. Justasplashofwhite set solid opening fractions of :27.3 and :55.4 en route to an easy victory in 1:53.4. NF Debutante raced second all the way around the one-turn mile to get the place and Fire and Art closed well for third. Justasplashofwhite pushed her career earnings to $92,450 for trainer Jeffrey Long and owners Charlene, S. Danyell and Carlie Long and Leslie Regan.

Pamela Wagner and Scott Woogen’s Lolique cruised to a 16¼ length win in the $39,000 three-year-old colt and gelding trot. Lolique led gate to wire for driver John Wagner, trotting the mile in 1:54.1. Done Dreamen was a clear second and Dusty Winner was third, 25¼ lengths behind the winner. The win was Lolique’s 10th of the season and pushed his career bankroll past the $150,000 mark. Manley Brown Jr. trains Lolique.

Gerald D. Kelly’s Southern Myles paced the mile in 1:51.4 to take the $47,200 2-year-old colt and gelding pace. Southern Myles led every step of the way for driver Jonathan Roberts, holding off a late challenge from 7-5 favorite Hi Dollar Cam to win by 1¾ lengths. Caviart Cody was third. The win was Southern Myles 10th from 15 career starts. The Nuclear High colt extended his winning streak to five for trainer Richard Hans.

Pamela Wagner’s Lookinforagrin dominated the $40,300 three-year-old colt and gelding pace, going gate to wire in 1:51.4. Lookinforagrin prevailed by 2¾ lengths over Zach E Fresh. Tidewater Ethan rallied for third.

Lookinforagrin set a new lifetime mark and improved his seasonal record to six wins from seventeen starts. Manley Brown, Jr. trains the Grinfromeartoear colt and John Wagner was at the lines.

Super Chuck gave owner Pamela Wagner, trainer Manley Brown, Jr. and driver John Wagner another rich victory with an 8¼ length tour de force in the $44,400 two-year-old colt and gelding trot. Super Chuck trotted the mile in the 1:56.4 to score his fourth win from just six lifetime starts. The Striking Sahbra gelding set the track record of 1:56.1 for two-year-old gelding trotters earlier this meet. Tactical Touch was second and Libel Windswept was third.

Dusty Lane Selfish gave Pamela Wagner yet another Virginia Breeders Final win with a gritty half-length victory in the $39,100 two-year-old filly trot. Dusty Lane Selfish stalked pacesetting stablemate Secret Impression through the first five-eighths and took over the lead as they exited the turn. Courtney Belle launched a strong rally on the outside but Dusty Lane Selfish fought back for driver Manley Brown, Jr. to secure the win. Dixie Disturbance closed well for third after breaking before the start. Dusty Lane Selfish trotted the mile in 2:01.1. Syl King, Jr. trains the Self Possessed filly.

Orville Larry Woodhouse’s Pat’s Fantasy parlayed a very fast finish into a 1½ length win in the $35,400 three-year-old filly pace. Driver Chris Page took Pat’s Fantasy back to third in the early going. Pat’s Fantasy cruised up to second near the five-sixteenths pole and quickly drew off to win in 1:55.2. Early leader Emotional Balance held on for second and My Kukla was third. James Perry trains Pat’s Fantasy.

Pamela Wagner’s Color Schemes held of a late challenge from Eden’s Fancypants to prevail by a half-length in the $41,800 three-year-old filly trot. Color Schemes pushed her lifetime earning past $100,000 with Saturday’s win. Syl King, Jr. trains and drove Color Schemes to victory. Stablemate Crowchild closed well to get the show.

Saturday’s 15-race closing day card also decided a tight driving race as Corey Braden held off two-time defending champ Jim Marohn, Jr. to claim the leading driver title. Braden finished with 58 wins. Dean Collins wrapped up the training title, his third in the last four years at the New Kent oval. Collins finished with 36 wins.
