Vernon Downs was forced to cancel the race card scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, due to a shortage or entries. Vernon Downs opened the box and had only 53 entries in for Tuesday’s card.
“This is a tough time right now at Vernon Downs with trying to get enough race-ready horses in the box. We are optimistic about the entries for Tuesday, May 15, as more horses are qualifying each week” said Jason Settlemoir, VP of Racing and Simulcast.
The entry box for the race card on Thursday, May 10, will close on Monday, May 7, at 9:00 a.m. The entry box for Saturday, May 12, will close on Wednesday, May 9, at 9:00 a.m.
