The overnight purses at Vernon have been increased by approximately 15 percent effective with the Thursday, June 24, race card. The top horses, Miracle Mile Class "A", will now race for $11,000 if seven or more start, $10,000 if fewer than seven and the NW 1 PM and $4,000 claimers have been raised to $2,900 and $3,400, respectively. Entries for the June 24 races close on Saturday, June 19, at 9 a.m. (Vernon Downs)
