Versatility at Tioga Downs

Ticket To Glide and driver Cat Manzi are slated as the 3-1 morning line favorite in the $25,000 first leg of the Miss Versatility trot to go postward at Tioga Downs on Sunday. The $25,000 second leg will be held at Vernon Downs on Thursday, Sept. 7 and the $75,000 (est.) final will be battled out over the half-mile track in Delaware, Ohio on Wednesday, Sept. 20, which is Jugette Day.

Breeders Crown champion Mystical Sunshine will be matched with George Napolitano Jr. and will leave from post position eight as the 5-1 second choice for trainer Chris Ryder. The 5-year old daughter of Yankee Glide lowered her lifetime mark earlier this year at Woodbine with a mile of 1:52.2 and has career earnings of more than $1.2 million.

David Miller will look to steer Three Little Words to the winner’s circle for the fourth time in 15 starts this year. Three Little Words is coming off of an impressive second-place finish in the $250,000 Breeders Crown losing to Mystical Sunshine by only a length at odds of more than 23-1. The White Creek Stable Inc. of Dublin, Ohio owns the 5-year old daughter of Conway Hall and Jonas Czernyson does the training.
