Vintage Master won a $125,500 Bluegrass Series division with a front-end effort that he sustained to the wire, breaking the beam at the finish line in 1:49.4. Dan Dube drove the Adios winner for trainer Jimmy Takter.
Vintage Master started from post six and Dube had him on the lead by the quarter in :26.4. He peeled off splits in :54.4 and 1:22.3 before coasting home by open lengths. Carnivore rode a two-hole trip and held on for second, with Hypnotic Blue Chip third.
Vintage Master earned his lifetime mark of 1:49.2f in winning the Adios, when he upset Well Said. Vintage Master finished second and fifth in heats of the Little Brown Jug about 10 days earlier.
