Millionaire pacer, Vintage Master won his Matron elimination, but will miss the final. A source at Dover Downs told harnessracing.com that trainer Jimmy Takter didn’t call to enter Vintage Master until sometime after the box had closed. All finalists were required to enter to race on Monday morning, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. The draw for the $259,486 Nov. 29 Matron final, a Sunday race, would ordinarily take place on a Thursday, but with the Thanksgiving holiday the draw was switched to Monday. The change was noted on condition sheets and announced in the Dover paddock as well. The change was also noted in a Dover release after the Nov. 22 eliminations. The Dover race office did not call Takter during the draw.
