The 4-year-old mares met Friday night, one day after the Sprinter Mästaren at Halmstad, for the classic stake StoSprintern at the Halmstad-track and the mile challenge became an expected "schoolbook" race.
The favorite, Nursery Rhyme (Credit Winner) is the fastest and took command. High Hope Face (Pine Chip-Hannah Newmen) is the strongest and challenged on the outside of the leader. Viol Hornline was smartly driven by Thomas Uhrberg, who used the pocket and the open stretch and won in 1:55.3 over the one-mile distance. The winner earned $47.000. Viol Hornline is trained by the skilly amateur-trainer Jan Hellstedt, who owns her together with Sånna Invest (a frequent buyer at the U.S sales). She¹s a daughter of Silver Pine and out of Queen Trotter by Why Not, a well-producing mare, who is just missing the star (Smash On, Serrez les Cordons, Frost New Yorker and Frosts Octopussy) with earnings of $460.000. Viol Hornline has now earned approximately. $130.000.
