Vivid Photo, who won the 2005 Hambletonian and banked nearly
$1.5 million last year, will make his 4-year-old debut Friday night at the Meadowlands.
The gelded son of SJ's Photo drew post two in the $35,000 featured trot, carded as the fifth race, with trainer and co-owner Roger Hammer in the sulky.
Vivid Photo completed his sophomore campaign Dec. 14, finishing third by a neck in the Matron Final at Dover Downs. He compiled a 2005 record of 16 wins, five seconds and one third from 25 starts and earnings of $1,481,020, including the winner's share of the $1.5 million Hambletonian.
Vivid Photo tuned up for this year's races with two qualifiers: a
1:56.1 winning effort April 11 at the Meadows and a 1:55.1 clocking, finishing second by a head, April 19 at Rosecroft.
Friday night's field of eight also includes New York Yank, Bhakti, Hellava Hush, Mystical Sunshine, Self Professed, Elegant Man and Sir Valahad. (Meadowlands Press Release)
