Return Home
August 31, 2005 | Print View

Hambletonian winner Vivid Photo heads a field of six sophomore male trotters entered in Saturday's $550,000 World Trotting Derby at Du Quoin, Ill. Trained and driven by Roger Hammer, the gelded son of SJ's Photo finished second in his most recent start in the American National at Balmoral Park Aug. 27.

Also entered in the World Trotting Derby is Great George Two, who most recently equaled The Syracuse Mile's track record in a Zweig division Aug. 27.

Trainer Jimmy Takter did not enter Ken Warkentin but he has a pair of entries in Hambletonian third-place finisher Muscle Memory and Keaton Zet. The other starters are Self Professed, who finished fifth in the Hambletonian, and Diesel Don, an early-season choice as one of the Hambo favorites.
