Vivid Photo led wire to wire to win the $10,000 Allerage Farm Open Trot Saturday at The Red Mile, with his 1:51.2 effort equaling Corleone Kosmos and Donato Hanover as the fastest trotters of 2007. Trainer-driver Roger Hammer was in the sulky behind Vivid Photo as he clicked off fractions of :28.1, :56 and 1:24 for closing out his mile with a final quarter of :27.2.
Yonkers Trot winner Green Day rallied late for driver Andy Miller to take second, edging out the Jody Jamieson-driven Ripped.
The win was the sixth of the year in 13 starts for Vivid Photo, and the 33rd of his 65-start career. Hammer shares ownership of the 5-year-old gelded son of SJ's Photo with Todd Schadel. Vivid Photo's career earnings now stand at $2,783,688.
