Also, the Meadowlands will open at 9 a.m. and simulcast the race, with free programs and wagering. Wagering will also be available through New Jersey Account Wagering at 4njbets.com.

The complete field, breeding lines and other information about the race is available in the latest edition of HarnessRacing Weekend Preview, which is free when you sign up via the link at the top of this page. Delayed broadcasts can be seen via computer streaming, and additional information about the Hippodrome de Vincennes track—and the drivers—can be found on the special 2011 Prix d’Amerique website, http://www.prix-amerique.com/en/infosPratiques/vincennes.html. Click on the tab for “actors” and you can read about the French drivers who will be competing.

The favorites in the race are Maharajah of Sweden and Ready Cash of France. The field also includes the race’s defending champion, Oyonnax.

Also, to read the list of past Prix d’Amerique winners, go to this web address: http://www.prix-amerique.com/en/laCourse/historique.html. Among the videos is the last U.S. champion, the great mare Moni Maker, who captured the race in 1999.
