Tony Morgan and Dyno Trevor made good use of the passing lane to get up in the closing strides to win the $24,000 Open trot on Wednesday at Dover Downs, while Sullivan Blue Chip, off at 5-1, took the $21,000 sub-feature Junior Open Trot.

In the feature, Self Professed with Brad Hanners driving got away quickly to take the lead after the start and the Self Possessed gelding controlled the front the rest of the way until the finals steps when Morgan shot Dyno Trevor along the inside to score a 1:55.3 victory.

Surprisingly, Dyno Trevor had finished second beaten only a neck in last week's top trot at the track, but even with the sport's leading dash win driver this season again in the bike, Dyno Trevor went off at 9-1. It was Morgan's second win of the night and 941st of the year. Self Professed held on for second with fast finishing Saint Johns Boy teamed with Ross Wolfenden next.

Dyno Trevor, a 6-year-old altered son of Conway Hall won for the seventh time this season for owner Brent Davis.

Mark Gingrich moved Sullivan Blue Chip in front of the grandstand and captured the lead just before the clubhouse turn. From there the 7 year old by El Paso Kash rolled on for a 1:55.4 with Racsan Jenny and Steve Warrington right behind in second. Put Them On Hold, driven by Toby Lynch, took the show spot.

Herve Filion, the world's leading dash-win driver with nearly 15,200 career wins, had a double. The sport's 15-time leading driver, Filion drove Russ and Elaine McKinnon's Fantasy Winner into the lead at the quarter and then led the rest of a 1:54.2 mile to win the $13,000 Filly and Mare feature pace. Wicked Rhymes (Mike Cole) sat second the mile with Famed Artist (Jim Morand) coming on for third.

Earlier, Filion steered Bobby Rice's recently acquired 3-year-old filly, Scylla Hanover, to her maiden victory in 1:58 in an $8,400 Delaware pace.

Tim Tetrick hustled John Wagenhoffer's Beavercreek Harley up on the outside to challenge front-pacing Im A Foolman Too at the three-quarters and the won a head-to-head battle continuing until the final step when Beavercreek Harley got up to win by a short nose in 1:56. Computer Teckie (Roger Plante) was third best. (From Dover Downs)
