On Saturday night at Woodbine, just prior to racing, members of the WEG driver colony met with Ontario Racing Commission senior judge Patti Webb to go over a number of issues. The ORC judges have committed to more stringent enforcement of drivers keeping holes filled and maintaining a reasonable pace during conduct of WEG races. Along with these items, some of the other issues discussed were the current whipping rules and standards , orderly and well-spaced post parades and talking on the track. "When a new senior judge comes in, we always like to meet with the drivers," says Webb. "They (the drivers) are committed to working with us to ensure the best possible on-track product. These meetings also give them a chance to air any concerns they may have." (WEG)
