The Woodbine Entertainment Group and the Ontario Harness Horse Association have announced a five percent increase to overall Standardbred purses at Woodbine effective Jan. 1. "There has been a stabilization of our wagering levels and slot revenues that allows this overall purse increase," said Jamie Martin, Woodbine Entertainment's vice president of Standardbred racing. "We are optimistic, going into the New Year, that we can continue to meet our objectives."
