Well Said won’t be having much time resting on his laurels of winning last Saturday’s $1 million Meadowlands Pace as the 3-year-old colt pacer is one of 26 entered in the Delvin Miller Adios at The Meadows, which will have three $50,000 eliminations this Friday. The top three in each elim will advance to the $677,665 final scheduled for Saturday afternoon, Aug. 1. Well Said, who last month also captured the $1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup at Mohawk Racetrack, drew post five in the second of the three elims. Regular driver Ron Pierce has once again been named to drive by trainer Steve Elliott. Keep It Real, who finished third behind Well Said in the NA Cup, will have a chance to make amends as he drew post seven in the same elim. Keep It Real followed up that show finish with a win in an overnight at Mohawk. Trainer Joey Shea has named Brian Sears to drive. Max Hempt Memorial winner Johnny Z will leave from post nine in that elim with Tim Tetrick driving for trainer George Teague Jr. Meadowlands Pace runner-up Vintage Master will leave from post three in the third elimination, with Daniel Dube named once again to drive by trainer Jimmy Takter. Also in that elim is Hoosier Cup winner Mr. Wiggles, with Corey Callahan driving for trainer Teague, and world-champion Sheer Desire, with The Meadows’ all-time leading driver, Dave Palone, listed to be in the sulky by trainer Ron Burke. If I Can Dream, winner of the Art Rooney and third in the Meadowlands Pace, will leave from post two in the first elimination, with regular driver George Brennan named to drive by trainer Tracy Brainard. Matt’s Scooter final winner and Hoosier Cup runner-up Chasin Racing will leave from post eight with David Miller driving for trainer Teague. 1st elimination—9th race PP Horse (driver)
