Jeffrey Snyder and Lothlorien Stable’s Well Said, winner of over $2.1 million, was named the 2-1 favorite in the second of three pools on the 2009 “Future Wager” for the Little Brown Jug.
Well Said, winner of the North America Cup and the Meadowlands Pace, was also the favorite in the first pool at 9-5. The sophomore son of Western Hanover owns a mark of 1:47.3 and is trained by Steve Elliott.
Mr. Wiggles is the second choice at odds of 6-1. Mr. Wiggles has won 12 of 22 lifetime starts and has earned more than $782,000 for Elmer Fannin and George Teague Jr. Teague also trains the son of Badlands Hanover.
Rounding out the top three in the second pool is If I Can Dream at 8-1. If I Can Dream was the winner of last week’s $109,600 Cane Pace eliminaton in 1:51.4. Tracy Brainard trains the Western Hanover colt for the Bulletproof Enterprises.
The field is 21-1 in the morning line and includes all 3-year-olds except the 23 who are ranked in the second future pool. The third and final Jug future pool of 2009 will be held from Sunday, Sept. 20, to Wednesday, Sept. 23. Number-Horse-Opening-Closing-$2 Will Pay
