Undefeated 2-year-old trotter Whosgoinwhosstayin posted his 10th straight win Wednesday at the isle casino & racing at Pompano Park in the $14,350 Florida Sale Stake for colts and geldings. After an early break and 15 lengths behind the leader, driver Mickey McNichol was able to get Whosgoinwhosstayin back on stride to catch the field to win in 2:01 by 10 lengths.

“After making a break last week and catching the field to win and again this week, this horse is giving me a heart attack and a thrill at the same time,”  said co-owner Sophia Valkanoff.

Sired by Basil from the Wall Street Banker mare, Benn’s Margie, Whosgoinwhosstayin is trained by Linda Kakaley, who co-owns the gelding.

Myakka (Tom Lehmann) finished second and Be Lachek (Wally Hennessey) finished third.

Pearl of Capri (Dan Clements) won the $14,225 Florida Sale Stake for the 2-year-old filly trotters division. It was the eighth win in 10 starts for Pearl of Capri who went quickly to the lead and finished in 2:03.3. The daughter of Famously-Jettas Pearl is trained by Veral Bowman.

“I have liked this horse from the beginning. She has spirit,” said Inge Smith who co-owns with her husband Frank Smith of Deerfield Beach.

Whosgoinwhosstayin and Pearl of Capri are both just one win away from the $100,000 bonus for winning all four Florida Sire Stakes finals from the Florida Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association and the Isle Pompano Park. (Pompano Park)
