Who in harness racing is dealing with the most snow these days? We'd like to know, so email a snow report or a photo from "Snowmageddon" to editorial@harnessracing.com.
But the snowfall record might be at farms along the Pennsylvania-Maryland border.
"We're at 50 inches and it's still snowing," said Dr. William Solomon, who operates Pin Oak Lane Farm on Wednesday morning. "It's snowing sideways right now!"
Fox Den Farm, located a bit south, had more snow to deal with than Pin Oak. "We've got 5 feet (60 inches). We're on top of a hill, and Pin Oak is in a valley," said Fox Den's Linda Winebrenner, who was keeping an eye on five mares who are due to foal.
With the snow stacked high where roads have been cleared and paths created, "I feel like a hamster running through tunnels!" quipped Fox Den's Tom Winebrenner.
