Wild Man Bill ($23.60) nipped Orient Address for a nose victory in the $35,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Green Acres final for 2-year-old trotting colts and geldings, the featured race on Wednesday at Freehold Raceway. The Banker Hall colt trotted the mile in 2:03, scoring his first win in his sixth career start. He has two seconds and one third to his credit.
Owned by William Collier of Birchrunville, Pa., Wild Man Bill was driven to victory by Jim Marshall for trainer Joseph MacDonald.
Orient Address, by Dream Vacation, held on for second while Mickey Deez, a gelded son of Muscles Yankee, was third by a half length. (NJSS)
