Willow Wiper dies

Willow Wiper, the 1982 Aged Pacer of the Year in Canada, has died at the age of 27. The son of Windshield Wiper was in Thorndale, Ont., at the farm of Richard Griffiths.





Willow Wiper retired with a mark of 1:53.2, 43 wins and $606,395 - more than $417,000 earned in 1982--for owner Robert Hamather. As a stallion, Willow Wiper sired the winners of more than $6 million, including the $532,000-winning Banting and the $358,000-winning Gypsy's Hellion.
