Andrew Cohen's first over blog carries the news that Dali, the winner of last year's Woodrow Wilson, is two weeks from qualifying and his stablemate, On The Brink, is set to qualify next week, with both scheduled for Mohawk Racetrack. Duane Marfisi trains both colts.
Dali, a son of Real Artist, won five of 10 starts last season, took a mark of 1:50.2 winning the Wilson, and finished the season with a fifth-place effort in the Governor's Cup. His first stakes start this year will be the Burlington.
On The Brink, by Dream Away, took his 2-year-old mark of 1:52 in winning a stakes at The Red Mile last fall. He also competed on the New York Sire Stakes circuit and will make his first start of 2008 in the Empire Breeders Classic at Tioga Downs.
