Winbak-breds receive honors

The Maryland Standardbred Breeder’s Association held their annual awards ceremony at Rosecroft Raceway on February 28, and Winbak Farm took home four  breeder awards that night. In addition, Tejano, who who stood at Winbak Farm through 2008, received the award for the Outstanding Trotting Sire of 2008.

 

Cool Clyde, a colt by Bonnie And Clyde out of Cool Flying Filly, received the honor of 2-year-old pacing colt of the year along with the Masterman colt Mastermaker. Cool Clyde, trained by Richard Ringler and owned by Robert Collins, made $29,901 and took a mark of 1:56.4f.

 

Honolulu Hunk, also trained by Richard Ringler and owned by Albert Hanna, received an award for Outstanding Aged Trotter, along with Go Get Blanche (by Go Get Lost).  Honolulu Hunk, is by Program Speed, the half brother to new Delaware stallion Giant Hit, out of the Balanced Image mare Bossybutbeautiful. Honolulu Hunk earned $290,731 and took a mark of 1:54.1f..

 

The Deputy Is Home, by Shotgun Scott, out of the Big Towner mare Roomie Hanover, received the honor of Outstanding Aged Pacer, along with Easter Egg Hunt, Fit Happens, Page Turner, Winbak bred Cool Flying Fun and Winbak sired JA’s Outlaw.  The Deputy Is Home, trained by Kevin McMaster, has won $224,405 and has a mark of 1:51.1s.
 
Cool Flying Fun, the full brother to Cool Clyde, trained and owned by Nick Callahan has won $537,214 and taken a mark of 1:50.4f. (Winbak Farms)
