Wind Surfer breezes to Preferred win at Meadows

Wind Surfer used a mid-race breather to fashion a handy victory in the $27,500 Preferred Trot Wednesday at The Meadows.
 
Although Wind Surfer endured a demanding first quarter over the sloppy track to secure the lead, driver Eric Ledford was able to back down the second panel to :30.2. With that, Wind Surfer easily repelled the uncovered bid of Near The Limit and the late thrust of Tom’s OK Lady.
 
Wind Surfer prevailed in 1:56, over Tom’s Ok Lady, who saw her winning streak end at three. Near The Limit saved show.
