Jim's Message, a strong contender recently at the Meadowlands, continued his success on the Rosecroft Raceway oval, trotting in 1:55.4 to top the field of $10,200 winners over horses.

The 5-year-old Carry The Message stallion, co-favored at 6-5 odds by post time, left the gate hard from post five to gain the lead before the quarter pole. Driver Todd Schadel steered the horse through fractions of :28, :57.2 and 1:26.1 for the win. Jim's Message, owned and trained by Richard Hans, earned his fourth victory of the year from eight starts.

Also at 6-5 odds, Mighty Moses held on for second through a first-over journey with Frank Milby in the sulky. Making his first start at Rosecroft Raceway since racing successfully in the Open Handicap at Dover Downs, the 6-year-old Garland Lobell gelding was forced three-wide after the half and showed strong speed to close in the stretch. Eric Ell trains for the owner partnership of Ken and Betsy Wood, William Dittmar Jr. and Stephen Iaquinta.

Third under the wire was Penn Pronto as a 35-1 long shot. Driven expertly by Corey Braden, the 6-year-old son of SJ's Photo came third over at the top of the stretch and weaved through traffic with a rally. Trained by Gary Cameron II, Penn Pronto showed much improvement with this start. The horse is owned by Ralph Bowling.
