Cabana Fever rallied down the stretch to win the first of four divisions of the $321,000 International Stallion Stake (ISS) for 2-year-old filly pacers Thursday afternoon at The Red Mile. With Ryan Anderson driving, Cabana Fever closed with a flourish to win by a length over Liberty Skiperty in 1:54, with Daily Laugh third.

Co-holder of the season's fastest mile by a freshman filly pacer (1:51.4 in She's A Great Lady elim at Mohawk Aug. 26), Cabana Hanver won for the fifth time in seven starts. The daughter of Real Desire is trained by Joe Seekman for owners Lee and Linda DeVisser, Sawgrass Farms and Helping Hands Stables. She has career earnings of $215,050.

The second ISS split went to Al's Girl, following up her Bluegrass win last week with a 1:54.4 effort for driver Brian Sears. Sears moved the daughter of Artsplace to the lead from fourth before the half and led the rest of the route to defeat Calgary Hanover and Art's Fantasy.

The win was the fourth of the year for Al's Girl, who is trained by Jerry Silverman for owner Jeffrey Snyder. She has career earnings of $154,805.

Yankee Augusta got away sixth and last in the third ISS division, but was able to work her way to the front at the wire, scoring in 1:52.4 for driver David Miller. Western Montana was second with Trim Hanover third.

Trained and owned by Dan Creighton, the win was the fourth of the year in seven starts for the daughter of Western Hanover. She was coming off her career best effort of 1:52.3 in a Bluegrass win.

Little Miss Dragon and Isabella Blue Chip slugged it out side by side down the stretch but it was Native Hanover who closed from third to edge both to win the final ISS split in 1:53.4. Little Miss Dragon held for second with Isabella Blue Chip third.

Mark MacDonald drove the winning daughter of The Panderosa, who knocked seven seconds off her previous mark set in a qualifier. This was her first win in six pari-mutuel starts. Noel Daley trains the winner for owners Adam Victor & Son Stable and Blue Chip Partners. She more than doubled her career earnings to $71,881 with the victory.
