Vivid Photo, one of the top older trotters in North America and past Hambletonian winner, went behind the gate for his third qualifying race of the year Tuesday morning at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs and tuned up for the Classic Series with a 1:55.4 score.
The 6-year-old trotter didn’t disappoint trainer-driver Roger Hammer, winning in wire-to-wire style from the six post. Vivid Photo trotted through splits of :29.1, 58.1 and 1:26.1.
Hammer and Todd Schadel co-own Vivid Photo, a winner of more than $2.8 million in purses.
“I’d like to get him one start before taking him to Dover Downs,” said Hammer. “If not, I’ll give him another qualifier here.” (Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs)
