Yonkers Raceway has announced that, effective with the condition sheet for the race week beginning Monday, Feb, 2, 2009, the Raceway shall no longer card non-winners of $2,000 in last six starts events, and the new minimum base claiming price shall be $7,500. No horse showing less than a $7,500 claiming line in its last 10 starts is to be permitted to participate here. The non winners of $3,000 in last six starts class shall exclude horses who have not earned at least $2,000 in their last six starts. (Yonkers)
