Harness Horse Breeders of New York State (HHBNY) executive director M. Kelly Young has announced her resignation as of Nov. 13 to accept the position as associate director of communications for the New York Farm Bureau. “I am very excited about this new position and it will be a welcome new challenge,” said Young in an e-mail to harnessracing.com. “It will tap into a lot of my talents and allow me to work with even more people in the agricultural industry in New York through an organization that has a huge impact--30,000 members just in NY!” Young a graduate of Boston University, is a former associate editor of The Horseman And Fair World. She became executive assistant for HHBNY in 2003, associate director in the fall of 2006, and executive director at the end of the year.
