Oscar Oscar turned in another devastating performance in capturing Friday’s $56,200(C) Youthful Pacing Series final for 3-year-old colts and geldings at Woodbine Racetrack. The son of Western Terror-Cup Of Jo entered the contest having won three straight races to start off his career and stopped the clock in 1:52 for driver Mark MacDonald.

Leaving from post two in the final, Oscar Oscar found himself in fifth position in the early going as Scottie C blasted to command from post 10 and hung up an opening quarter of :27.2. At that point, Dervish Hanover was sent up from fourth with Oscar Oscar following closely on his heels.

It took Oscar Oscar until just past the :55.4 half to clear to command where he then came under pressure from first-over attacker Its A Good Thing, who was looking for a series sweep. The leader took the field past three-quarters in 1:24.1 with the first-over prompter continuing to apply pressure.

Once they straightened up for home, Oscar Oscar kicked into another gear under only minimal urging and used a :27.4 final panel to seal the deal. Its A Good Thing held bravely for second with Oscar Oscar’s entrymate, Power Off, rounding out the top three.

The winner returned just $2.60 for the victory.

Oscar Oscar improved his record to four-for-four for trainer Tracy Brainard who conditions for Bulletproof Enterprises of Boca Raton, Fla. The winner’s share of the purse boosted his earnings to just over $52,000. (WEG)
