August 07, 2007 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Yukon Cornelius set an all-age track record Saturday night at Hazel Park, capturing the featured Invitational Pace in 1:50.3, besting the previous mark of 1:51 set by Ponder last year. The time also set a new track record for older pacing geldings, which was also previously Ponder’s 1:51 effort.

Tyler Buter was in the sulky behind the 8-year-old son of Cam Terrific-Rail Bird. Bred by Circle H Farm, trained by Jole Holcomb and owned by Kevin Holcomb, the win was Yukon Cornelius’s fifth in 15 starts this year. Overall, he has 40 wins in 166 career starts, with lifetime earnings of $435,055.
