Zweig now at night

The Zweig Trot for 3-year-old colts, already moved to Tioga Downs from the Syracuse fairgrounds, has been moved from an afternoon card to a nighttime post on Saturday, Aug. 12. The $300,000 Zweig Trot will go on the 6:50 p.m. program on a day of doubleheader racing, so as not to conflict with the Adios at The Meadows that afternoon.

As part of the weekend festivities, Tioga Downs will host a party for all owners, trainers, drivers, and grooms on Sunday, Aug. 13 in the “Tioga Tent” located on the apron that will include food and drinks.

The raceway will also offer a special party in the "Tioga Tent" for the owners and horsemen between the programs on both Saturday afternoons. The "Tioga Tent" has been graciously sponsored by Tioga Downs, Allerage Farm, Perretti Farms, Brittany Farms, Walnut Hall Ltd., the Standardbred Horse Sales Company, Fashion Farms, Hempt Farms, and Hanover Shoe Farms.
