Tarport Mark, one of the oldest racehorses in the nation at age 15, posted his fifth win in 10 starts this season with a 2:00.3 triumph in the Florida Amateur Driving Club Trot Friday night (April 23) at Pompano Park.

USTA rules allow horses over the age of 14 to compete in amateur driver events only. All other horses must retire after age 14. The $258,000 career winner was driven to victory by Dein Spriggs, trained by Luanne Beeson and is owned by Joyce Spriggs.

Earlier in the evening at Pompano, Leave No Message and driver David Ingraham swept three-wide on the final turn and upset the field at odds of 11-1 in the featured $5,000 trot in a lifetime best 1:57.4.

Leave No Message won by one length for owner/trainer Leon Cable. Trotting Yankee was second with Banker Ablaze third. It was the second win this year for the 5-year-old gelding by No Devil.
