27 entered at The Meadows

A record 27 three-year-old pacing colts and geldings have been entered in Saturday’s Coors Delvin Miller Adios at The Meadows, which will have a record total purse of $500,500. Three eliminations will be held, with the top three in each returning for the $350,350 final. In addition, the three elim winners will draws for posts one through three; the second-place finishers will draw for posts four through six; and the third-place finishers will draw for posts seven through nine.

Georgia Pacific is the favorite in the first of the three Adios eliminations. Georgia Pacific is coming off a career-best 1:49.1 victory in the fastest of three Oliver Wendell Holmes divisions at the Meadowlands Hambletonian day. Brian Sears has been named to drive the locally owned and trained sophomore.

Geortogear, who won his Holmes split impressively in 1:51, is the morning choice in the second elim. Ron Pierce, who recently wrapped up his first-ever Meadowlands dash championship, has been named to drive. Pierce has also been named to drive program choice Timesareachanging in the third elimination.
