Three days of yearling sales at the Standardbred Horse Sale Company's auction in Harrisburg, Pa., concluded with 945 horses selling for a total of $29,716,500. The average of $31,446 was down only three percent from last year, but 42 more yearlings were sold this year.

Fifty-three horses brought a price of $100,000 or more, with five bringing more than $200,000. The sale-topper was Cabrini Hanover, a filly by Western Ideal out of the top producing broodmare Cathedra, who was purchased by Anderson Farms of Ontario for $350,000.

The mixed portion of the sale starts today and runs through Saturday. Today's session is highlighted by the dispersal of the Armstrong Bros. pacing mares, including Armbro Feather, Armbro Romance and Mattaroni.
