$40,000 sale topper in Ohio

Moment Like This, a 2-year-old colt by Pegasus Spur out of the mare Precious Moment, was the $40,000 sale topper Monday night at the opening session of the 2006 Ohio Selected Jug Sale held at Eden Park Equestrian Park in Sunbury, Ohio. Jay Cross, acting as agent, was the purchaser.

Moment Like This is a half brother to Lovin Every Moment 3, 1:55.1f ($221,556), who last year at two won divisions of the Geers, Standardbred and Pennsylvania Sire Stakes, as well as an International Stallion Stakes split. This year he has won splits of the Geers, Reynolds and Pennsylvania Sire Stakes.

Selling for $38,000 was Future Cruiser, a son of Yankee Cruiser out of TM’s-Future-Woman p, 1:53.3f ($316,939), who won the 2000 Tender Loving Care Series final at the Meadowlands. The Pinske Stables, which raced Yankee Cruiser, was the buyer.

Also selling for $38,000 was Pretty Eyes, a bay filly by Yankee Cruiser out of Eyes Of A Tiger. She was purchased by Floridian Robert Miller.
