Escape The Wind earned his 60th career victory Saturday night by winning a conditioned pace in 1:51. The 10-year-old gelding was driven by Roger Mayotte, who has also trained the horse throughout his career.
Escape The Wind, a son of Artiscape, has a career bankroll of $1.9 million and a lifetime mark of 1:48.3. Mayotte put him on the lead in his latest race and he showed his class by holding on to win by three-quarters of a length.
Also at Woodbine, Aracache Hanover stepped up and defeated older horses in the $42,000 Open Pace, scoring by three-quarters of a length in 1:50.3. Driven by Doug McNair, the Dragon Again colt was coming off a victory in the Windy City the previous week at Maywood Park.
