Accident sends 3 Rosecroft drivers to hospital

A seven-horse accident in the fifth race at Rosecroft Raceway Tuesday night delayed the races for more than one hour as a trio of injured drivers were taken to a nearby hospital. According to a report on the Washington, D.C., local CBS station WNEW, a medevac helicopter was used to transport driver Donnie Russell to the hospital. Drivers William Carter and Justin Hite were also injured in the accident and taken to a local hospital.
Only two horses finished the race unscathed, although the report indicated none of the horses involved suffered any serious injuries. A full and updated report will be posted when available.
