Now that we’ve all caught our breath after last Saturday’s great racing at the Meadowlands, it’s time to turn our attention to The Meadows and Harrah’s Hoosier Park. In the new and free HarnessRacing Weekend Preview, The Meadows-based Mike Wilder talks about his chances with Catch The Fire in Saturday afternoon’s Adios Pace eliminations and how nice it’d be to win the final at his home track. Before that, the weekend kicks off Friday at Hoosier Park with the Nadia Lobell for 3-year-old filly pacers, and trainer-driver Brandon Bates talks about the homecoming for Priceless, who has a great career ledger at her home track.

Racetracks across New York have reopened following the covid-19 shutdown—except for Monticello. Attorney Joe Faraldo, representing the Monticello horsemen, spoke to Kathy Parker about Wednesday’s court hearing that saw a judge uphold track management’s decision to remained closed, and what his next step might be. And what a mile that was by 2-year-old trotter Captain Corey in his career debut in a Pennsylvania Sires Stakes.
