Reigning Older Trotter of the Year Vivid Photo made his second appearance of 2008 Wednesday morning (March 19) at The Meadows, leading gate to wire and scoring by one-half length in 1:59.4 over a sloppy track. Vivid Photo also won a qualifier at The Meadows the previous Wednesday in 1:59.3.
Trainer, driver and co-owner Roger Hammer plans for Vivid Photo to make his first pari-mutuel start of the season in the Classic Series on April 7 at Dover Downs.
The winner of the 2005 Hambletonian, Vivid Photo was voted 3-Year-Old Colt Trotter of the Year that season. He then finished second in voting for Older Trotter of the Year in 2006 behind Sand Vic, and then earned Dan Patch honors last year at age five. Now six, the son of SJ\'s Photo enters 2008 with $2,846,708 in earnings for Hammer and Todd Schadel. His last start of 2007 resulted in a 1:50.4 victory in the Patriot at Colonial Downs, an effort that equaled Victory Tilly\'s world record for older trotters.
