Anvil Raider N wins 20th of year at Northfield

Anvil Raider N crossed the finish line in 1:57.2 in winning the seventh race on Monday at Northfield Park. This is the 20th time that Anvil Raider N has been triumphant in 2013.
Having 20 wins this year ties Anvil Raider N with Haroun Hanover for the second winningest horse in North America in 2013. Only Tracy's Song (21) has scored more victories this year than Anvil Raider N.
Despite being tied for the second winningest horse, this year will mark the final racing season for Anvil Raider N. The 14 year old faces mandatory retirement on Dec. 31 per the rules of the United States Trotting Association.
Anvil Raider N (In The Pocket-Motu Sweet-Great Mann) is owned and trained by Will Johnson of Monroe, Mich. David Lake was in the sulky for the winning drive.
Anvil Raider N has 92 career victories and has earned a bankroll of $335,912 with a lifetime mark of 1:51 as an 8 year old at Mohawk Racetrack. (Northfield Park)
