Armbro stallioneer dies

Randy Cavanagh, the well-known stallioneer at Armstrong Bros., died suddenly on Oct. 11 at his home in Inglewood, ON. His wife Katie and son Corbin, 8, and daughter Micaela, 4, survive him. In addition, he leaves sisters Cheryl Barber and Donna Cavanagh of Windsor, Darlene Bryan of Oakville and brother Rick of Kitchener.



Randy was born in Windsor. He joined the Armstrong Bros. staff in 1990 and two years later assumed responsibility for the stallions. He continued to serve in that capacity until his death. He also helped in supervising the sale preparation of some of Armbro’s top groups of yearlings.



Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 20 at 3 p.m. in the Bramalea Citadel of the Salvation Army at 9395 Bramalea Road in Brampton, to be followed by cremation.
