A successful Audition

Audition made a successful big stage debut, winning the $300,000 KYSS final for 2-year-old trotting colts at The Red Mile on Sunday night, as directed by driver Dave Magee and owners Taylor Rietveld, Robert Rietveld, Kevin Dixon and trainer and owner Robert Taylor.

With Magee at the lines,the Valley Victor colt was sent off the post time favorite, but saoff the pace through fractions of :28.2 and :57.4. Still waiting patiently, Magee was fourth by the three quarters in 1:28, but then turned the talented colt loose and on his way to a 2 1/2-length, 1:56.3 win, his fourth in seven starts, boosting his career earnings to $174,331.Soulful Delight was second and Pembroke Big Bo was third.
