On Saturday (June 6), Scioto Downs Racino will play host to plenty of stakes action featuring the $200,000 Charlie Hill Memorial Trot. The field includes 2013 Horse of the Year Bee A Magician.
Bee A Magician will ship to Scioto Downs after a second-place finish in the Maxie Lee to Father Patrick. With regular pilot Brian Sears listed to drive, Bee A Magician will try to gain a victory and push her lifetime earnings to more than $3 million.

The race will also see DW's NY Yank, Lindy's Tru Grit and Obrigado ship in from the east to stake their claim to the $200,000 purse. Verlin Yoder will be bringing Indiana-bred Natural Herbie to the High Street oval to tackle the country's best once again after earning more than $300,000 in 2014, with his season capped off by a victory in the Yonkers International Preview.

The stellar field will also consist of Count Me In, Final Breath, Fusion Man, Il Sogno Dream and Southwind Pepino, who have been battling week in and week out in some of Scioto Downs' finest trot races.

Ohio's top 3-year-old colt and gelding pacers and trotters will also slug it out in the second leg of the Ohio Sires Stakes with two divisions for each gait. The pacers will include Gray Camo and Chief Talkalot, who were winners in the first round at Miami Valley Raceway.

Neely's Messenger, last year's 2-year-old trot Sires Stakes champion, will continue his quest to be Ohio's best trotter for trainer Al Manke III. I Know My Chip will try to push his winning streak to four for trainer Ron Burke.

Racing continues at Scioto Downs through Sept. 12, Super Night. Post time is 2 p.m. for Tuesdays and holiday race days and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays-Saturdays.
