Jazzy Judy and Big Al M were best of all in their respective $100,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund finals for 2-year-old trotters on Tuesday night (Nov. 24) at Dover Downs.

In the filly trot, named for the late Brandywine Raceway and Dover Downs publicity director Marv Bachrad, Jazzy Judy was a dominant 1:59.4 winner, 4-1/2 lengths in front of Designer’s Edge and Kim’s Command. Anthony MacDonald drove the daughter of Political Briefing-Giant Smash for trainer Jim King Jr. and The Stable Jazzy Judy Group — which consists of about 70 people.

The colt and gelding trot was won by Harrington DSBF final winner Big Al M in 1:58.4 over Malachi’s Test and Someofmygoodtime. Eddie Davis Jr. drove the son of Anders Bluestone and Bringing Up Lindy for trainer Eric Davis. Bobby Myers, a successful Delaware Valley horseman in his own right, named his homebred for Kent County (Del.) farmer Al Moore, who also was a notable Standardbred owner.

Two-year-old pacers will contest their $100,000 DSBF finals on Wednesday night (Nov. 25); first post is 4:30 p.m. (DSBF)
