Breeding, livestock consultant Bart Glass dies

Bart Glass, a respected livestock expert and consultant to many Standardbred breeders and both the Kentucky Standardbred and Lexington Selected Sales companies, has died in his hometown of Danville, Ky. He had been hospitalized in Louisville, KY, was released, but then had to be readmitted to a hospital in Danville, where he died.
Glass, 76, began working as a consultant to inspect yearlings for the Kentucky Standardbred Sales Company in 1981, just the second year of the sale. He handled the same role for the Lexington Selected Sales Company when the Kentucky Standardbred and Tattersalls fall yearling sales in Lexington were merged.
