With 1-5 favorite Radar Sign fading to eighth after battling early on top, it was Brooklyn Hanover who got the perfect trip from driver Eric Ledford to win Saturday's (June 21) $150,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes final for 3-year-old colt pacers.

Brooklyn Hanover held off Dream Wave by a head to win in 1:52.3, with Crystal Art third. The victory was the third of the year in five starts for the Steve Elliott-trained colt.

There were no surprises in the $150,000 NJSS final for 3-year-old filly pacers as Armbro Amoretto cruised to a five-length win in 1:51.2. Sure Sign was second with Casino Miss third.

With Luc Ouellette in the sulky, Armbro Amoretto was moved to the lead nearing the half and rolled to a new career mark. The David Smith trainee has now won five of seven this year and pushed her career earnings past the half-million dollar mark.
